At its core, this is a combo deck. You’re building around a very specific interaction: stacking the deck with powerful, non–Rule Box Pokémon that have big attacks. Then, you sculpt your top-deck and discard just the right card to unlock a huge swing turn.

Use control over the top of your deck to “set up” the perfect discard.
Chain together threats by keeping your bench and hand full of viable options.
Regigigas – A single-Prize Pokémon with high-cost, high-reward attacks that hit hard if you can copy them for free.
Kyurem – Offers water synergy and strong damage potential with the right setup.
Dondozo – Big HP and powerful attacks, perfect for surprising opponents.
Toxicroak – For disruption and status conditions.
Gallade – Flexible attacker with potential utility.
These Pokémon might never see play on their own—but through Slowking, they become terrifying options your opponent didn’t see coming.
To make the engine work, you’ll want cards that help manage your deck and hand:
Ultra Ball / Buddy-Buddy Poffin – To thin your deck and ensure you’re drawing what you need.
Artazon – For pulling out basic Pokémon without using up your Supporter.
Arven / Iono – To keep your hand fresh and control tempo.
Professor Sada’s Vitality – A must for Psychic decks, giving you both energy and draw.
You’ll also want to experiment with Energy Acceleration tools like Jet Energy and Reversal Energy for extra speed and adaptability.
